Pragna means knowledge in Sanskrit. It took a long time to
conceptualize the content of this blog. Constant activities were underway from years,
but the efforts were not channelized. Through this blog, the hours of scattered
work have been brought under one heading.
Ancient scriptures are in Sanskrit language. The objective
of this blog is to share the Sanskrit shlokas in Kannada language for the
benefit of Kannada speaking population. The Shlokas will also be present in
Devanagari font which can be read by majority of Bharatiyas (Indians). The
meaning of these shlokas has not been included intentionally. Readers and
enthusiasts who are in search of knowledge are requested to go in pursuit of
the source. You are encouraged to learn Sanskrit and decipher the divine text
individually.
The flow of knowledge should be perennial. This is a minute step
in this direction of percolating the knowledge through the internet. These
texts are useful for chanting & daily prayers at any applicable frequency depending
on individuals.
Speech to text conversion applications have not been used to
generate these verses but instead they have been typed conventionally, checked
and then uploaded. Nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement.
If you come across any discrepancies in the spelling, we request you to comment
on the same and reply to us so that we can rectify it.
Journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step, and so is
this first blog. We are starting of with small shlokas like Shanti Mantras and then
we will progressive upload the more longer mantras in due course.
The content of this blog is free knowledge. It is not
sourced from any organization or individual and does not come under the perimeter
set by trademark, copyright and intellectual property. The shlokas are freely available
across the sub-continent as one takes in fresh air and sips in drinking water.
It is not intended for religious propaganda, political motive or business objective.
This blog is purely voluntary and self-initiated.
Every individual has the responsibility of contributing for
the welfare of the society for its progress and development based on his / her
educational background, social status and financial stability.
The shlokas permeate peace, prosperity, focus,
concentration, good health, optimistic and positive thoughts towards humans.
They establish harmony between man and nature. In this busy world filled with pain
and misery, peace of mind is a very distant destination and perhaps these shlokas
have the capacity to bridge the gap.
Your suggestions, feedback, comments for improvement are
always welcome,
Start is just a teaser...Well defined and yet makes the reader to expect the next. Carry on the good work KV... Eagerly awaiting there next posts.
